For the last seven years, I’ve enjoyed my summer writing sanctuary. Filled with flowers it’s been a place of peace and inspiration. The difficulty has been is that this beautiful place does not share well. It’s actually crowded when there are more than two people to enjoy my sacred spot. For several years Tom and I have talked about widening this deck. Friday, Christopher Oates, the owner of Century Landscape and Services, who is also my fabulous grandson, spent the morning with us planning the enlargement of this tiny deck into a patio room filled with flowers – a sanctuary to share. Work starts tomorrow. We’ve two beautiful clemantises that will have to be moved as well as lots of pots. I’ll post pictures as construction progresses.
