January 1, 2017 is nearly over, I’ve spent this day with friends, reading a book in my cozy home, talking with family. It’s been a lovely peaceful day. We spent New Year’s Eve at a friend’s home, staying the night. Today, we drove home on ploughed roads, the sun shining brightly on the new snow. A great beginning.

What lies ahead? No one knows for sure but we all have plans. For Tom and I there will be travelling, family time, and lots lots more. My goal or resolution for 2017 is to keep my eyes focused on my faith, walk with confidence and have heaps of fun along the way. This morning we looked out over Sturgeon Lake and talked with friends about the abundant blessings that fill our lives as Canadians. We gave thanks.
