This afternoon, a box containing copies of my latest book,
Dipping Your Toes, Too
arrived on my doorstep. Tom took this picture. Dipping Your Toes, Too is lovely. I want you all to know that using this newest book, Dipping Your Toes, Too will give you the same pleasure as its predecessor. The colours are different, but the basic cover is very similar.
I will bring Dipping Your Toes, Too to Kawartha Highlands UCW annual general meeting in Omemee on Thursday. And of course, there will be more copies available at the ECORC UCW AGM on April tenth in Peterborough. I want to save the shipping for as many of you as possible.
The price is $30.00. During the ten years since Dipping Your Toes was published, production costs have risen substantially.
Come to your UCW spring gatherings. Guaranteed you will have a good time, learn something new and “be among the first to own Dipping Your Toes, Too.
Reviews
“I have used the first Dipping Your Toes on numerous occasions for the worship at our United Church Women’s meetings. It is a very valuable resource complete with prayers, hymn suggestions, meditations and questions for group discussion. I look forward to using Dipping Your Toes, Too for similar occasions. My thanks go to Janet Stobie for writing and publishing such valuable and needed resources.”
Gloria Thurston, UCW President, Dunsford United Church, Dunsford, ON
“Janet Stobie used one of the services in her new book, Dipping Your Toes, Too in leading our women’s coffee hour in November 2024. This is my handwritten note to Janet. “Thank you so much for yesterday. Your topic was spot-on, just what we needed. The discussion that followed was great! Can’t wait for your new book!!!!”
Sandi Deslauriers, Leader of Women’s Coffee Hour at Bridgenorth United Church, Bridgenorth, ON
“As a clergy member who strongly believes in collegiality, I give God thanks for Janet’s sharing of her gift of writing and creativity, both in the first Dipping Your Toes, and now in Dipping Your Toes, Too. I encourage my clergy colleagues and our churches’ lay leaders to use this book as a tool for those times when the inspirational well feels dry, and we are looking for some inspiration. Like its predecessor, Dipping Your Toes, Too can fill the gap when the unexpected fills our lives and suddenly, we have no time. Janet’s two worship books offer total services that can be a blessing in our busy times or when we are searching for a “Call to Worship,” a new wording for the Christ candle lighting and more. However you use this book, it will be a blessing in your ministry.”
